Job Description

PURPOSE OF POSITION
The Customer Service Representative will research EBT/ EPC/ or Treasury questions received from customers and clients, and provide appropriate and accurate information over the telephone.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
1.     Defines or resolves inquiries received either through written or telephone correspondence.
2.     Answers questions regarding child support payments posting, payments disbursement, and account histories.
3.     Provides requested information.
4.     Maintains updated records and logs.
5.     Performs all other duties as assigned.
HOURS
Must be available Monday thru Saturday 7am to 7pm.
Some Overtime is required.


Job Requirements
EDUCATION/SKILL/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
High School diploma or GED.
A minimum of 1 year experience in telephone customer service. 
Knowledge of the use of PCs and related software.
Must pass PC Knowledge Test.  
Ability to navigate Internet Explorer and using multiple sessions.
Experience in data entry (alpha and numeric) or with a 10-key calculator with minimal error ratio.  
Typing skills must be above 25 wpm. 
Excellent communication skills.  Ability to handle highly stressful situations with professionalism and excellent quality. 
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Position requires sitting for long periods of time and considerable handling of paperwork, telephones, as well as keyboarding requiring repetitive motions with fingers.
