Foundry Engineer
Dallas, Texas

Please review the following requirements for this position:

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Responsible in using QC Tools to collect, analyze, present, and take action on data and metrics captured throughout any foundry production process.
  • Responsible for creating and administering the Standard Order of Procedures in order to create a uniform and efficient process throughout the departments and product.  Continuously evaluate the Standard Order of Procedure to diminish process deficiencies.  Responsible for updating procedures.
  • Responsible in test tracking phases of operation to ensure process and product comply with the overall mission of the departments. Evaluate the findings of the tests, analyze and provide suggestions on such finding. 
  • Responsible for auditing overall production and processes. Inform findings to the Sr. Engineer and General Manager and provide recommendations. 
  • The Engineer will conduct Process Capability Study to determine if process and production meet the output expectation.  If not, further analysis would be conducted to help establish new processes and production output.  This position will be responsible to continuously evaluating process and production. 
  • Use simulation software to evaluate and produce best rigging and riser options.  The Engineer must present best rigging options based on best practice and simulation results. 
  • Responsible for record keeping. 
  • Other duties as assigned. 
Requirements:
  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Material Sciences, or related field
  • Steel Foundry engineering experience
  • Experience with Creo, SolidWorks and Solidification Software preferred
